Global Grazing Network (inviting your significant contributions)
Goals: GGN aims to promote open research using long-term datasets of grazing experiments worldwide.
Current objective: I have an idea to lead a global grazing network that synthesizing the global patterns and mechanisms of grazing effects on ecosystem stability using long-term grazing data worldwide, bridging theempirical observations with theoretical frameworks in world grazing lands.
Recently, we have a paper that has been pubilished on Ecology Letters with Cunzhu Liang (Inner Mongolia University, China), Yann Hautier (Utrecht University, Netherlands), Kevin R. Wilcox (University of Wyoming, USA), and Shaopeng Wang (Current supervisor, Peking University, China), which is available at here (Liang, M., Liang, C., Hautier, Y., Wilcox, K.R.& Wang, S. (2021) Grazing-induced biodiversity loss impairs grassland ecosystem stability at multiple scales. Ecology Letters, 24, 2054– 2064. https://doi.org/10.1111/ele.13826). It was just a single-site study. We would like to synthesize these grazing effects at a global scale. Thus, we are searching for the long-term grazing experiment datasets.

There are three minimum requirements: 1. ≥ 3-year observations; 2. raw data with species abundance; 3. ≥ 2 quadrats in each experiment unit.
Note:the raw data will NOT made public, the data owners have the permission for further studies. So far, I have collected about 25 independent long-term grazing studies worldwide, most of these studies are from the Long-Term Ecological Research Network of the USA. A few of these are from Africa, China, Isreal, Netherlands, Spain, and UK. I know there are more than these grazing experiments that I have collected so far. I think it would be wonderful that we can have more datasets to generalize the conclusions.
